We love swimming

We have had a fabulous time learning how to swim. We are all confident in the water and have had a variety of learning experiences. Going in the bus is pretty fun too, even if the teachers have almost had enough of the song "The wheels on the bus go round and round......."
This is a great place to read too!

Keep Practising, Karlm and Zavariah

Hmmm, swimming with life jackets could be fun!

Making me

Today we made a portrait of ourselves. Instead of using paint and paper, we went on a hunt for natural supplies. There is plenty about since it is Autumn!
How creative are these children!

Capital E

We had an amazing trip to Wellington on Monday. The day was organised by capital E and they did a fabulous job. We went to circa theatre first and saw a funny stage show about an alien who has just landed on earth and was discovering how to use things that we use. The alien used them slightly different to us and it was funny.

Unfortunately the rain interefered with our second show but we did get to meet Horatio the seagull.

Our 3rd show was a music show and we got to see Anika Moa on stage singing songs from her children's album. We did lots of jumping and and dancing.

The last 2 weeks

We have had a busy 2 weeks in room 7.
We have been enjoying our discovery time theme : STRINGS AND THINGS

Pull it tight, Tai and Karlm!

Last week we made string telephones and discovered how we could make them work!

We even found a nice sunny day to do our story writing outside with chalk. It is fun to do something different.
